Today, Google gets breadcrumbs from many places: your site’s URL, schema markup, and the actual breadcrumbs on the page.

7. Activate your best content
Your content can become outdated after a few years, as you write an article/blog and then share it on social networks. Your audience reads it, interacts with it for a while, then forgets it.
So, maybe it’s time to go back to your for the past two to five years…or even 10 years.
Now, find a way to exploit it again (maybe just by updating it, but keeping it at the same URL). Sometimes, this method yields massive increases.
8. Increase internal links

(Google) released a new update two years ago, called “Mobile-first indexing”, so what is it? Every website/blog has two versions that work together: one for PC and one for a smartphone.

But in the past, search engines focused on the desktop version (because it was used so much). No, many sites are satisfied with the desktop version, then decide to “downsize” and convert to the smartphone version.. but they lose some links in the process (like the navigation header, footer links, and things like that).
A recent study showed that the average number of page links within the desktop version is 61 links and the same average for the smartphone version is 54 links. This means that there are 7 fewer links on smartphone pages compared to desktop pages, which means a lot of links are lost. So, make sure there is parity between the two versions so you don’t lose that balance.

10. Long content… wins
I am not claiming that content length is an important factor in ranking within search engine results, it is not, but rather short content can rank well.
The reason I advise you to invest in long-form/detailed content is that we’ve noticed, time and time again, that long-form content gets more referrals and shares.
So, make sure to provide as long content as possible.
11. Use more titles
If you decide to follow the advice above, be sure to use more addresses. Here we mean the H2 and H3 heading level.
Divide your content with good, keyword-rich titles. Why? Well, content marketing Saif Ali has conducted research that has found that the more subheadings your post has, the higher the featured snippet will rank. Sites with 12-13 subtitles, which seems like an exaggerated number, rank higher in the premium snippets category.

13. View content away from tabs
If some of your content is hidden behind (drop-down menus) or a visitor has to click a link to see it, you’re missing out on a great opportunity to discover it! Now to be clear, I don’t think Google differentiates content in tabs, but rather is able to index and rank it just fine. But I think people engage more with content when it’s off tabs, and maybe some of those signals can help rank a bit better.

You are allowed 50,000 URLs per sitemap. If your site is large and you’re having indexing issues, reduce the number of links in your sitemap to 10,000 URLs. You don’t have to use all 50,000!
16. Take advantage of dynamic sitemaps
Dynamic Sitemap: A sitemap that changes based on what you want Google spiders to crawl. So, if you have a specific set of URLs that you want to prioritize, consider including them in their own sitemap.
How? Keep your sitemap small and specific (maybe limit it to 1,000 URLs), and while Google’s spiders are crawling to discover your links, put additional high-priority URLs that you want them to discover, then remove the rest of the links from the sitemap.

Let’s quickly talk about link-building tips for 2023, because everyone loves link-building.
We’re just kidding! The reality is that everyone hates link-building. Link building is very difficult. There are some pros and there are some great people in the industry who love it, and they’re great at it. Personally, I’m not very good at building links, but I still manage to generate a lot of them.
17. Getting “negative” links
Getting a negative link can be done by creating content that effortlessly gets links from the people who see them on the search results page (SERP).
This means that you do not have to communicate with anyone. So that when journalists or bloggers find your content, they will naturally want to use it as a resource. You can do this by creating the kinds of content that journalists, bloggers, and content creators, in general, are looking for. This constitutes data, guidelines, explanations, definitions, and more. Passive (inactive) link building is one of the most sustainable ways to earn links over time.
18. Link to “influential” sources
